Our new line of "A" wines is the result of a meticulous study of the micro terroirs present in the 12 sectors that make up VIK. Each sector specializes in different types of grapes, and, in this case, we’ve chosen Cabernet Sauvignon from Los Almendros, Cerro Al Medio and Los Lazos to deliver a velvety and distinctive wine.
On the other hand, the warm, Mediterranean climate with a marine influence, which limits maximum temperatures, sustained by a deep, porous, well-drained granitic soil, makes VIK "A" a unique addition with unsurpassed quality.
"A" is also something of an introduction to Milla Cala, a Bordeaux-style wine in which we select the best grapes from VIK's terroir, one of the components of our remarkable red blends. Its aromatic notes are multiple and diverse while maintaining a style that intrigues the senses.
"A" is a highly anticipated release, which has already been recognized by renowned critics. A Cabernet Sauvignon that will surprise you, as it upholds the VIK standard, but at the same time offers a unique and avant-garde personality all its own. VIK "A" 2020, of a ruby red color, presents aromas of red and black fruits, such as raspberries, plums and blackberries. Fresh spice notes appear, along with dried fruit and hints of mocha from the French barrels.
It is an elegant wine, with a unique minerality and silky mouthfeel. It has a firm structure, with soft and taut tannins, along with balanced acidity, creating an edgy wine with a long and unforgettable finish.
