VIK RANKS 8TH AMONG THE WORLD’S BEST VINEYARDS IN 2021
VIK, founded by Alex and Carrie Vik in 2004, has climbed from the 10th position in 2020 to rank 8th among the world’s best vineyards in the 2021 version of the prestigious competition.
VIK is situated in Millahue in Chile’s Cachapoal Valley, two and a half hours from Santiago and is a pioneer in this area of the O’Higgins Region. Its imposing winery designed by Chilean architect Smiljan
Radic impresses with its modern style in the midst of nature. The experience begins with discovering its premium wines: Milla Cala, La Piu Belle and the icon wine, VIK. The latest release is La Piu Belle Rosé, which has been a sales success. The winery also has an organic, sustainable kitchen garden, which inspires the seasonal menu in its fine dining restaurants:
Pavilion in the heart of the vineyard, and Milla Milla at Hotel Vik Chile.
The retreat, among the most luxurious in Chile, inspires visitors to unwind and disconnect, with rooms designed by dierent artists from the global art scene and amazing glass houses called “Puro Vik” that provide a unique view of the valley. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, such as horseback riding, trekking, mountain biking or a delicious picnic in the countryside.
